This blog page is dedicated to people who might be considering a move to Koh Samui or who are visiting or just generally interested in Island Life.

After we moved to Koh Samui in February 2023, my husband David began writing a book about our experience — part personal story, part practical guide for anyone thinking of relocating to Samui or Thailand. It includes tips on everything from buying property to everyday questions like “Can I drink the tap water?” or “Is the ice in my cocktail safe?” There’s also info on different areas of the island, what to expect, and how to avoid common pitfalls.

To keep the content up to date and useful, David also created a Facebook group under the same name (which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/506868968303822) and has recently started posting regular updates, thoughts, and advice. Those posts are shared here too:
